Resumen
In the seventeenth century, the Spanish monarchy consolidated a cultural model of power that would convert their set of kingdoms into a global monarchy. This model would be built from a power structure split into two complementary figures: the king and the viceroy. Despite the importance of this process, historiography long ignored this form of power and how it created the Spanish monarchy's ideology in the baroque area.
