Resumen

The research was developed in 2010, from information obtained about the insect pest Alternaria solani Sor. of tomato in the territory of the Plant Protection Station of Lajas in Cienfuegos, Cuba. The models were determined for spatial estimation of the intensity of this agent, between the years 2003-2004 to 2007-2008. An analysis of compliance with the requirements for the study: the adjustment to a normal distribution, identification of outliers and the presence of stationarity; experimental variogram was calculated and a djusted it to four models, which were validated from estimation errors. As a result of the study were identified as best fitting models: one exponential, one spherical and three gaussians, for the different study crop seasons, with determination coefficients higher than 75% and correlation coefficients greater than 0.90, which were used to estimate spatially variable studied, which enable decision makers to establish control tactics aimed at specific focus of infestation.
