Resumen

1. 1. Transfer RNA isolated from the livers of winter and summer acclimatized male carps was fractionated by two-dimensional polyacrylamide electrophoresis. 2. 2. Significant changes in the distribution of the tRNA isoacceptor species were observed. 3. 3. The adjustment of the tRNA population to the needs of the protein synthetic machinery during the acclimatization process correlates with the cyclic carp liver cell ultrastructural changes previously observed, and provides a new approach to gain knowledge about the mechanisms involved in the compensatory response to thermal adaptation.
