Danilo Leal is an experienced university professor, academic leader, and researcher with over 14 years in higher education. He currently serves as the Director of the Master in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, former director of the Master in Computer Science, and the Master in Informatics Engineering at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB). Additionally, he is an Associate Researcher at the Institute for Health and Wellbeing Innovation Technologies (ITISB).

He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics, a Master's in Industrial Engineering, and a Master's in Management with a Finance specialization. Recognized for impactful teaching across graduate and undergraduate programs in Chile and the U.S. (Indiana Tech Latam), he has taught courses in data science, artificial intelligence, statistical consulting, business analytics, and decision-making. He is certified by IBM and Harvard in areas such as Data Science, AI, and Enterprise Design Thinking.

As an active researcher, he has publications indexed in Web of Science and Scopus on topics including statistical modeling, econometrics, and risk analysis. He serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for various peer-reviewed international journals. Furthermore, he is the President of the Data Science Commission of the College of Engineers of Chile and a frequent contributor to national media on technology and engineering topics.
