Abstract
The collection, transfer and final disposal of hospital waste is a public health problem. An information system with web deployment is presented, for the assignment and routing of vehicles, which uses mixed integer linear programming, for programming and assigning the different clients within a month horizon by frequency. In addition, it assigns the fleet, according to its geographical location and capacity, to subsequently incorporating those clients into the transport routes of the system. To improve the service, the number of scheduled customers is normalized and, thus, balancing the vehicle loads by routes and month. The development of the application has a service-oriented architecture model implementing Rest API as a central request orchestrator, to ensure scalability and extensibility, and thus, parametrize any geographical area, given the existing integration with applications such as Google Maps ® and a set of good software quality practices present in ISO9126.
