Abstract
Clinical trials of Norplant, a subdermal implant type of contraceptive containing levonorgestrel, have shown it to be extremely effective, providing several years' protection against pregnancy. Despite some limitations, it has been proved to be a highly acceptable contraceptive warranting further development. -J.Orr
