Abstract
This article analizes two Latin American films, El chacal de Nahueltoro (Chile, 1969) and O bandido da luz vermelha (Brasil, 1968), under the New Chilean Cinema and Marginal Cinema Brasileiro respectively. From these develops the theme of the spectacle of crime, in both simulacrum and rhetorical strategies of the image, which shows a joint critique of society and the political system that shelters and stands, but also to the passive that consumes.
