N2 - In terms of sleep, physical activity, diet, and the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and drugs, Chilean university students’ lifestyles tend to not be very healthy. The objectives of this study were to describe the lifestyles and establish relationships between the variables of behaviors of Pedagogy in Physical Education students at a university in South-Central Chile. A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study was done. The ESTIPENDO closed question survey was applied and was answered by 108 students from the previously mentioned academic program. Data analysis was done with SPSS v. 25 software. The results indicate that 89.8% of the students stated they do physical activity three or more times per week, being greater amongst men (χ2=12.823, p=0.012). In addition, those who do physical activity are less likely to consume drugs (χ2=9.896, p=0.042). 11.1% stated they eat fruits and vegetables every day, while 65% consume some type of junk food. 84.3% stated they did not smoke, while 94.5% consume between 0 and 7 alcoholic drinks per week. However, 45.4% frequently use drugs, mostly men (χ2=17.203; p=0.002). 25% stated that they always sleep well, while 64.8% said sometimes. It is concluded that the students have an unhealthy lifestyle; while they state that they are physically active, and consume little alcohol and tobacco, they eat few fruits and vegetables each day, consume highly processed foods as well as drugs, and do not sleep enough.
