Abstract
Climacteric is a transitional period in women's life. It is characterized by dynamic physical, psychological, and social changes caused by gradual plasmatic estrogens' reduction. The purpose of this literature review is to describe with accurate available information the stages of the climacteric period, understand the relevance of nursing care through this process, and suggest some recommendations to develop educative strategies. Nursing care, considering educative strategies, can be an effective approach towards climacteric's experience.
