Abstract
The research seeks to describe strategic management in the health sector from an organizational perspective. Using a quantitative methodology, of a descriptive type, a non-experimental cross-sectional design, using the survey technique through an 18-item questionnaire, addressed to the administrative personnel of the study population, using descriptive statistics to calculate measures of central tendency. The findings show inefficiencies in the phases of the strategic process. It is concluded that Health Service Provider Institutions should strengthen relational strategies to enhance their economic activity, make the organizational structure more flexible to increase productivity and promote continuous improvement through evaluation systems.
