Abstract

Different factors affect the proper software development processes execution, such as the lack of progress monitoring and deficiencies in team skills. These factors, called risks, are depending on the peculiarities of each project. The goal of this work is to identify common risks in agile development projects and to propose mitigation strategies for these risks. To do that, we performed a mapping review to obtain 17 common agile risks. The mitigation strategies to these risks were defined considering activities, roles and artifacts from Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps. To facilitate the visualization of the risks and the mitigation strategies, we developed a web page that has been successfully evaluated by students of last year of informatics engineering career.
