PhD in Architecture –Structures and Conservation of Architecture and Cultural Heritage from the University of Firenze, Italy– and PhD in Engineering Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She is currently associate professor and research coordinator at the Andrés Bello University - Faculty of Architecture, and researcher at the Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (CIGIDEN).
Nuria Chiara Palazzi's research domains include the assessment of seismic vulnerability and fragility of historic centres and existing structures.
